Integrated Full-Length Transcriptome and Metabolome Profiling Reveals Flavonoid Regulation in Response to Freezing Stress in Potato

چکیده
Cold stress impairs plant growth and development, resulting in crop failure. Cultivated potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is sensitive to freezing, while its wild relative, S. commersonii, has a strong freezing tolerance. To decipher the anti-freezing mechanism of CM, we carried out transcriptomic metabolomic analysis an variety CM (a type commersonii) freeze-sensitive DM Solanum L.). A total 49,232 high-quality transcripts from 12,811 gene loci, including 46,772 coding sequences 2018 non-coding RNAs, were identified. KEEG enrichment differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between two varieties showed that flavonoid biosynthesis pathway was strongly induced by stress, which proven metabolome analysis. Consistent with accumulation more flavonoids, nearly all significantly upregulated than those DM. The transcript levels chalcone synthase (CHS-1) isoforms four 3′-hydroxylase (F3′H-1) confirmed qRT-PCR. Co-expression identified one Myb-related three UGTs (UDP-glycosyltransferase) during stress. Our findings support enhanced greater ofglycosylatedflavonoids resistant types types, maybe accounting for increased tolerance freeze-resistant varieties.

Chicken hepatic response to chronic heat stress using integrated transcriptome and metabolome analysis
The liver plays a central role in metabolism and is important in maintaining homeostasis throughout the body. This study integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic data to understand how the liver responds under chronic heat stress. Chickens from a rapidly growing broiler line were heat stressed for 8 hours per day for one week and liver samples were collected at 28 days post hatch. Transcriptom...
متن کاملTranscriptome Analysis of Spartina pectinata in Response to Freezing Stress
Prairie cordgrass (Spartina pectinata), a perennial C4 grass native to the North American prairie, has several distinctive characteristics that potentially make it a model crop for production in stressful environments. However, little is known about the transcriptome dynamics of prairie cordgrass despite its unique freezing stress tolerance. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to explore th...
متن کاملFlavonoid profiling and transcriptome analysis reveals new gene–metabolite correlations in tubers of Solanum tuberosum L.
Anthocyanin content of potato tubers is a trait that is attracting increasing attention as the potential nutritional benefits of this class of compound become apparent. However, our understanding of potato tuber anthocyanin accumulation is not complete. The aim of this study was to use a potato microarray to investigate gene expression patterns associated with the accumulation of purple tuber a...
متن کاملComprehensive transcriptome analysis and flavonoid profiling of Ginkgo leaves reveals flavonoid content alterations in day–night cycles
Ginkgo leaves are raw materials for flavonoid extraction. Thus, the timing of their harvest is important to optimize the extraction efficiency, which benefits the pharmaceutical industry. In this research, we compared the transcriptomes of Ginkgo leaves harvested at midday and midnight. The differentially expressed genes with the highest probabilities in each step of flavonoid biosynthesis were...
متن کاملTranscriptomic profiling of heat-stress response in potato periderm.
Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) periderm is composed of the meristematic phellogen that gives rise to an external layer of suberized phellem cells (the skin) and the internal parenchyma-like phelloderm. The continuous addition of new skin layers and the sloughing of old surface layers during tuber maturation results in smooth, shiny skin. However, smooth-skin varieties frequently develop unsightl...
